Would this be a good laptop?

I'm gonna be a freshman this year and I'm asking my parents to buy me one because there getting my brother one. All I need the laptop for is browsing internet, AIM, maybe webcamming sometimes with friends. I don't need a whole bunch of programs, just maybe itunes(probably not though idk) AIM, Microsoft word and powerpoint, and internet explorer, safari, it doesn't matter.since the RAM is only 2gb and hard drive is 250, would it fit all of that. This would be my first laptop I'd ever gotten, so I don't really know to much. Would this be a good one?
