FL Studio problem with Edison?

Okay so i finally got the whole process figured out. recorded some vox and it sounds great. all is going well. until i try recording my guitarist. we record 12 bars into the song (which is like 3 chords) and then edison takes a **** on us and stops recording. i have no idea what the problem is and i'm very freakin annoyed with it.
