What would you ask for for your 18th b-day?

I was either gonna get a Dean guitar with a Vox amp and headphones or ask my parents for money so I could make myself a 3 course dinner for my birthday. Either way I think its gonna end up in disappointment because my mother can spend money with out really thinking about spending on things that matter. Which present do you think I should ask for so I won't be too disappointed?
